Course Details:

Duration :	One & half Years (3 Semesters)
Eligibility :	A Diploma in Mechanical and its allied branches, Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics Telecommunication, Applied Electronics and Instrumentation, Metallurgy, Mechatronics, Chemical branch of Engineering or Technology recognized by SCTE & VT, Odisha with 50% Marks in Aggregate.

Semester-1

Theory Subjects:

1. Principles of Extractive Metallurgy
2. Raw Materials Preparation and Evaluation.
3. Phase Transformations and Heat Treatment.
4. Energy and Environment Management
5. Basic Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Practical / Sessional:

1. Raw Materials Preparation
2. Phase Transformation & Heat Treatment Laboratory.
3. Information Technology Laboratory

Semester-2

Theory Subjects:

1. Iron Making
2. Steel Making
3. Fabrication Technology and Surface Protection
4. Safety and Fire Management in Steel Plants
5. Electronics, Instrumentation & Process Control.

Practical / Sessional:

1. Testing of Metals Laboratory
2. Joining of Metals Laboratory
3. Electronics, Instrumentation & Process Control Laboratory

Industrial Training & Project (Six Months)
